Terms of Use

Effective date: 13 August 2026

IT Siesta membership and all functionality currently offered by IT Siesta are free of charge.

There is no paid membership, subscription, purchase, or fee required inside or outside the app. Access is granted only through a personal invitation from an existing member.

Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, signing in, or using IT Siesta, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account, sign in, or use the service.

Eligibility and invitations

IT Siesta is a closed network for private individuals who work in, support, or are otherwise connected to IT. Accounts belong to individuals, not companies, organisations, employers, or their representatives acting on behalf of an organisation.

An existing member must personally invite you. By inviting someone, a member confirms that they know the invitee and vouch for their excellent soft skills. Invitations and member codes may not be sold, transferred, or used to create accounts for another person.

No tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users

IT Siesta has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You must not post, send, upload, or otherwise share content that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, exploitative, violent, fraudulent, invasive of privacy, infringing, spam, or otherwise harmful or seriously disruptive.

You must not bully, intimidate, impersonate, stalk, threaten, defraud, or abuse another person; solicit illegal activity; distribute malware; expose another person's private information; or use IT Siesta to facilitate harm.

Reporting, blocking, and moderation

Members may report objectionable content or abusive users using the reporting controls provided in the app. Where those controls are unavailable, contact [email protected]. Include enough information for us to identify the content or account.

Members may block abusive users using the controls provided in the app. Blocking removes the blocked user's content from the reporting member's view immediately and sends the related safety report to IT Siesta for review.

We review safety reports as soon as possible and act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours. When a report is substantiated, we may remove the content and suspend or permanently eject the responsible user. We may also preserve or disclose information when reasonably required by law or to protect people and the service.

Your account and content

You are responsible for your account, your credentials, and the content you submit. Keep your sign-in information secure and promptly tell us if you believe your account has been compromised.

You retain ownership of your content. You grant IT Siesta a limited licence to host, process, transmit, display, and moderate that content only as needed to operate, protect, and improve the service.

Service availability and termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law.

We may restrict or terminate access when a member violates these terms, creates risk or harm, abuses another user, or threatens the safety or integrity of IT Siesta. To request account deletion, contact [email protected].

Changes and contact

We may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version here and change the effective date. Questions, appeals, and safety concerns may be sent to [email protected].
